«Ein Raum fur die Unendlichkeit» is the name of a new space opened by the art collective France Fiction at the .HBC
and dedicated to the presentation of science fiction, utopia, fictional and game related art proposals.

The first show presented for the opening on the 26th February at .HBC is a site specific proposal called «DER BERLINER MURMEL KLUB». It is the last avatar of a series of marble clubs initiated by France Fiction in 2003. Four clubs have been established up until now (in Paris, Stockholm and London).

«Rationalists, wearing square hats sitting in square rooms, having square thoughts, should try to join in this search for perfection, where the achievements of royal art lies beyond gold in the marble. The players circle around the centre of the playing field, it is a centre where all gestures point. The scene of the players becomes sculpture, immovable and in a permanent reconfiguration. The match takes cosmological value, celebrating the mystery of perpetual movement from molecular vibration to the majestic cycles of planetary orbit.»

Confusion is Sex feels tough tonight. Not only is DJ Dolby Anol banging out hard electro to a crowd of face-painted girls and topless rave boys, Parisian techno-punk duo Aniaetleprogrammeur are lashing out swathes of distortion and tittering rythmns. With an upstairs chill out zone populated by truncated legs and a rockabilly sound-track, Confusion occupies the Bongo Club like a hardcore army of renegade artists falling on an innocent student hang-out.

Promoter Gamma Ray’s call to leave the jumpers at home hadn’t reached all clubbers: rugby shirts mingled uncomfortably with horse-headed man and tiger-faced women. Yet Confusion represents raw, aggressive music and the effortless cool of The Freaky Brides, taking this beyond the drab nights of pull and puke that dominate city centre clubbing.

If Aniaetleprogrammeur are disturbing and danceable in equal measure, their shards of thumping beats and razor guitar provokes both exodus and manic, brutal dancing. A brief moment of sensual calm comes with Mia Meow’s Pulp Fiction-inspired burlesque, before the band and DJ thrust the crowd back into aggressive ecstasy.

When the band close, following stage invasion and a devastating noise finale, Hettie Heartache’s Kate Bush striptease raises the temperature, tapping into adolescent fantasies and capturing the raw mixture of vulnerability and sexual confidence that made Wuthering Heights such a perennial video favourite. Holding her own against a braying audience, Heartache is erotic and creative, lining up with the burlesquers who are unafraid to be imaginative and sexy.

Dangerous and vivid, a non-stop party of excess and glamour, Confusion is Sex is moving towards Gamma Ray’s dream of punk atitude and sexy safety. By the time the door policy gets in place, and only the weird can enter, this art project will remember the great days of engaged clubbing.

Here s a new review about the album ” Die Kirsche auf dem kopf ” by Gérald de Oliveira

Si le tunnel sous la Manche n’a pas eu d’effets sur le mixage entre les mouvements culturels parisiens et londoniens, un tunnel inconnu, et pour le coup vraiment underground s’est construit sans relais dans les médias. Pas localisé, il semble avoir comme station de départ Chatelet les Halles, direction l’unique Zoo Station à Berlin. Des bruits partant des deux côtés, s’uniraient pour le meilleur et pour le suicide sonore, roulant sur les rails d’un Suicide adoré. Abrasive, voir prenant l’auditeur à rebrousse poil, ANIAETLEPROGRAMMEUR mélange électro rock musclée et tapageuse, profilant les ailes de ses textes, comme celle d’un avion Dada qui rentrerait dans le tunnel pour ne pas se déplacer en faisant de l’ombre. Alors les oreilles sensibles pourront toujours prendre le viaduc de Millau histoire de se faire caresser la cage à miel par des chanteurs sirupeux le temps des festivals d’été, on ne saurait trop vous conseiller cette ligne underground, même si le moteur de la machine peut faire du bruit, même si des stickers de NIN semblent apparaître grâce au reflet des lumières stroboscopiques, même si l’inconfort est une recherche que ANIAETLEPROGRAMMEUR semble tester en soufflerie. ich bin ein berliner.
